Who We Are
We, the children of The Most High, have been called to be doers of his word not just hearers of his work. Here at the FaithWorks Community Church, we believe that the church should be a working vessel of Christ.
There for we present our selves as a living sacrifice unto God, holy and pleasing to Him - this is out spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1-2).
We believe in the words of James 2:14-26 where it clearly states that Faith with out works is dead! We are apart of the living body of Christ.
Through our works in ministry we plan to outreach, teach fellowship, foster, and empower change in this DYING world!
Through Christ we commit not only ourselves, but our families to the works of the church.
Through our outreach and evangelism we plan to win this, community, this city, this state, this country, this WORLD for Christ!!!
Through our intimate bible studies we continue to sharpen our skills so that we will be ready for the work that is before us (Psalms 27: 17-18).
We regularly commune, and fellowship together in brotherly love, cultivating not only friendship, but a kinship. Here at Fait-works we believe that the ministry is not just for one type of person, rather being a fellowship where the entire family can be active in ministry. Our family and children’s ministry is just as important as the adult ministries. This allows us to train up our children in the right way (Proverbs 22:6) affording them a brighter future knowing that they walk the same path as Christ.
A LOVING CHURCH of WORSHIP
John 4:24. God is a spirit: And they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
To worship God in the spirit and in truth on each Lord's Day, as well as mid-week services and at various other times as we are led by the Holy Spirit.
A LOVING CHURCH of OUTREACH
Mark 16:15-16. And He said unto them, go ye into the entire world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
We are to be diligent in our efforts to lead people to receive Christ through groups and individual witnessing. Our boundaries shall be the four corners of the earth.
A LOVING CHURCH of DISCIPLESHIP
2Timothy 2:15. Study to show yourself approved unto God, for a working man need not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
To strive to be worthy Disciples of Christ and help to strengthen all members of the congregation as we teach and study God's word and be diligent in training Christians to perform the tasks that are involved in kingdom building.
A LOVING CHURCH of FELLOWSHIP
1John 1:3. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus.
Other scripture references: Acts 2:42-47, Hebrews 10:25.
We are to engage in fellowship with one another and other believers in the spirit of Christ. Encouraging one another and praising God together.
A LOVING CHURCH of ADMINISTRATION
1Corinthians 14:40. Let all things be done decently and in order.
To administer all church business decently and in order.
A LOVING CHURCH of COMMUNITY INTERACTION
1Corinthians 13:1-8. 1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
To be mindful of the needs of the community and strive to help alleviate some of those needs as we lift up Christ.
A LOVING CHURCH of STEWARDSHIP
1Peter 4:10. As everyman hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Other references: Luke 12:42-43, 1Corinthians 4:1-2.
To be good stewards of all the blessings that God has given us.
Each ministry of this church embodies these goals through the uniqueness of their respective functions.
